Who we are

OsteoXFit is a sole practice run by Amina Shamsi M.Ost (GOsC No. 10504), providing private osteopathic care in Chelsea, London SW10.

What information we collect

When you get in touch or book an appointment, Amina may collect:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• Health and medical details needed to treat you safely: your case history, symptoms, medications, and session notes
• Appointment history

Payment is by bank transfer. No card details are ever collected or stored.

Why we collect it

Your health information is used purely to provide you with safe, effective osteopathic care. Your contact details are used to confirm appointments and respond to your messages. Nothing else.

As a GOsC-registered practitioner, Amina is legally required to keep clinical records. Your consent to treatment also covers the records made during that treatment.

How long we keep your data

Clinical notes are kept for at least 8 years after your last appointment. This is a requirement set by the General Osteopathic Council. If you'd like your contact details removed sooner and there's no clinical reason to keep them, just ask.

Who we share your data with

Your data is not sold or shared for any marketing purpose. The only circumstances in which Amina would share information:

• With your GP or another healthcare professional, and only with your knowledge and agreement
• Where required by law, or to protect your health in an emergency

Your rights

You're in control of your data. Under UK GDPR, you can:

• Ask to see everything we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that's wrong
• Ask us to delete data we're not legally required to keep
• Change your mind about any consent you've given. This won't affect anything that's already happened

Concerns and complaints

If anything isn't right, whether about your care or how your data has been handled, please speak to Amina directly in the first instance. She takes all feedback seriously and will do her best to resolve things personally and promptly. You can reach her at amina@osteoxfit.com.

If a matter cannot be resolved directly, you may wish to escalate. Data concerns may be raised with the Information Commissioner's Office. Concerns about osteopathic care may be raised with the General Osteopathic Council.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use it. This sets cookies on your device that collect anonymised data such as pages visited, time spent on the site, and approximate location by region. No personally identifiable information is collected through these cookies.
