Bridging Treatment and Long-Term Health

Osteopathic treatment is highly effective at reducing pain and improving how the body moves. But treatment sessions are a small fraction of your week. What you do the rest of the time matters just as much, often more. Coaching is designed to make the most of that time.

For many women, the question after a course of osteopathic treatment is what to do next. How do you return to exercise after an injury without setting yourself back? How do you rebuild strength after pregnancy? How do you keep your back from becoming a recurring problem? These are questions that require more than a handful of exercises on a printed sheet. They require a proper programme, good coaching, and someone who understands your body and your history.

Amina has trained in strength and conditioning alongside her osteopathic practice and brings both perspectives to coaching. She has her own serious history with strength training and understands the difference between a generic programme and one built around a specific person.

What the Coaching Involves

Each coaching engagement starts with an online movement assessment. Amina looks at how you move, where restrictions or compensations exist, and what your current capacity is. From there she builds a progressive programme designed specifically for you.

Sessions are conducted via video call, which means you can be coached from wherever you are. There is no requirement to attend a gym if that does not work for you; programmes can be designed around home equipment, a gym, or both.

The coaching is progressive, meaning the work builds over time. This is particularly important for women returning to exercise after injury or pregnancy, where starting conservatively and building steadily is far better than rushing back and encountering setbacks.

Who This Is For

  • Post-injury return to exercise
  • Postnatal return to training
  • Women new to strength training
  • Chronic back or joint pain management
  • Runners and athletes with recurring injuries
  • Women wanting to move better long-term
  • Perimenopause and bone health support
  • Post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Postural improvement programmes
  • Women who have been told to strengthen but do not know where to start

Why Online Works Well for This

In-person coaching has its advantages, but for rehabilitation and strength work, online delivery is genuinely effective. Amina can watch you move, correct form, and adjust programming in real time. The format also removes travel time, which for busy women often makes the difference between consistently showing up and not.

The online format also means you are not limited by geography. Coaching sessions are available to women anywhere, not only those based in London.

Coaching sessions are not a replacement for osteopathic treatment where treatment is clinically indicated. If you are managing an active injury or condition, Amina may recommend that treatment sessions run alongside coaching rather than coaching alone.

Coaching pairs well with in-clinic osteopathy at Chelsea SW10 or with home visit appointments. For postnatal women specifically, coaching provides a structured path back to exercise after treatment has addressed the immediate recovery.

Questions

Before you book.

Do I need to have had osteopathic treatment with Amina first?

No. You can book coaching independently. Some clients come for coaching having never had osteopathy; others use both services together. Amina will carry out an initial assessment at the start of coaching to understand your movement and history regardless of whether you have had treatment with her before.

What equipment do I need?

This depends on your programme. Amina designs around what you have access to. A gym membership is not required; many clients work from home with minimal equipment. If you have access to a gym, she will make use of that. The assessment will clarify what makes sense for you.

How often do coaching sessions take place?

This varies depending on your goals and schedule. Some clients meet fortnightly; others prefer monthly check-ins with independent work in between. Amina will suggest a frequency that makes sense for where you are and what you are working towards.

I have never lifted weights before. Is this suitable for me?

Yes. Amina works with women at all levels, including those who are entirely new to structured exercise. Starting from scratch is a completely normal and very workable starting point. The programme will be built to meet you exactly where you are.

How is an online coaching session different from a standard personal trainer?

The clinical background is the main difference. Amina is a registered osteopath with an M.Ost degree, which means she understands injury, pain, and how the musculoskeletal system works at a level that goes beyond fitness training. If something hurts or does not feel right during your programming, she can assess it properly rather than guessing.
