About Amina

Hi, I'm Amina.

My journey into osteopathy began long before I trained as one. My mum is an osteopath, so I grew up around treatment rooms, anatomy books and conversations about the body. At the time, I didn't think much of it. Looking back, it's hard not to see the influence.

Years later, while studying beauty therapy, I found myself drawn to the part of the course I hadn't expected to love: massage. I was fascinated by the way touch could change how someone felt, moved and carried themselves. From there, osteopathy felt like a natural next step.

My interest in movement came later and for a much more personal reason. During Covid, I became increasingly inactive, gained weight and started struggling with knee pain. A friend who worked as a personal trainer introduced me to strength training, and it completely changed my relationship with exercise. I became stronger, more confident and more connected to my body than I had ever been before.

"My aim is never a quick fix. It's to help you understand your body, recover more fully and feel supported for the long term."

Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. You can book directly with me without a referral. Many of my patients have already seen their GP, and that is absolutely fine, but it is not a requirement.

What happens during the first appointment?

Your first appointment, the Initial Assessment & Treatment, is 75 minutes. I start by taking a thorough case history, because I want to understand the full picture before I touch anything. From there I carry out a physical assessment and treatment typically begins in the same session. You leave having already made a start.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the condition and how long it has been there. Many of my patients notice significant improvement within two or three sessions. I will give you an honest, realistic picture at your first appointment. I am not interested in keeping you coming back longer than you need to.

Will it hurt?

Treatment should not be painful. Some techniques may cause mild temporary discomfort if the area is already inflamed, but I will always check in with you and adjust. Most of my patients find it more relaxing than they expected.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing works best. Depending on the area we are working on, I may ask you to remove outer layers. You will always be appropriately covered and comfortable throughout.

Do you only treat women?

Yes. I work exclusively with women. This is a deliberate choice. I want every patient to feel completely at ease from the moment they walk in, and I have found that a women-only space makes a real difference to that experience. If you are unsure whether my practice is right for you, just reach out and ask.

Is parking available nearby?

Yes. I can reserve a parking space outside for you on request, just mention it when you book. The nearest stations are Imperial Wharf (Overground), Fulham Broadway (District line) and Sloane Square (Circle/District). Full directions are sent with your booking confirmation.
