Osteoxfit's product and buying guides — office chairs, desks, mattresses, footwear and rehabilitation equipment — are written by the Osteoxfit Editorial Team: a research and writing process, not a single named clinician. This page exists so that's never ambiguous.
Three roles sit behind this content, and we keep them clearly separate rather than blurring them into one authoritative-sounding byline:
Osteoxfit Editorial Team — writing and research
Responsible for selecting products, checking official specifications and current UK pricing, cross-referencing independent reviews and evidence, and drafting each guide. Amina Shamsi, M.Ost — clinical review
Amina is the GOsC registered osteopath (No. 10504) behind Osteoxfit's clinical practice. Where a guide makes a health or safety claim, that claim is meant to be checked against her clinical judgement before it's treated as reviewed. Read more about Amina.
Aurelia — illustration
Aurelia is the illustration identity behind the artwork used across Osteoxfit's articles. She draws; she does not write or clinically review product content. See Aurelia's page.
Why we separate these roles
It would be easy to attach a single respected name to everything Osteoxfit publishes. We don't, because it wouldn't be accurate. A large volume of product research can be produced faster than one clinician can personally verify every claim, and pretending otherwise misrepresents both the content and the person named. Where a page has not yet been through clinical review, it says so rather than implying otherwise.
What "specification-based" means in practice
Most current product guides are researched from official manufacturer specifications, current UK pricing, published warranty and returns terms, and credible independent reviews and evidence — not from physically testing the item ourselves. Guides that have been genuinely hands-on tested are labelled "Osteoxfit Tested" and disclose the method, dates and limitations of that test. We do not use that label unless it's true.
