Before you book.
How is medical massage different from a spa massage?
A spa massage is designed to relax you all over. Medical massage starts with an assessment and focuses on a specific problem, such as a sore neck or lower back, with techniques chosen for that area. It can still feel relaxing.
How is it different from sports massage?
Sports massage is geared towards training and recovery. Medical massage is aimed at a particular pain or condition, and is planned around what Amina finds when she assesses you.
Can I come if I have a medical condition?
Usually, yes. Please mention any conditions, recent surgery or medication when you book. Occasionally Amina may suggest checking with your GP first, and she’ll explain why.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing. Depending on the area being treated you may be asked to remove an outer layer, and you’ll be covered with towels throughout. Amina will always tell you first.
