Before you book.
Is osteopathy safe during pregnancy?
Osteopathy is commonly used throughout pregnancy. Amina is trained and experienced in treating pregnant women and adapts her techniques to each trimester. If you have any specific concerns, contact her before booking and she will be happy to advise.
What trimester can I start treatment?
Amina treats women throughout all three trimesters. Many women come in early pregnancy for general support and pain prevention, and others come later when specific aches and pains have developed.
Do I need a referral from my midwife or GP?
No referral is needed. You can book directly. It is always a good idea to let your midwife know you are seeing an osteopath, but it is not a requirement for booking.
Can I come back after the birth?
Absolutely. Postnatal osteopathy is a core part of what Amina does. Many of her pregnancy patients return after delivery to support recovery, address any birth-related strain, and adapt to the physical demands of caring for a newborn.
